Thank you for visiting our wesite and Happy 2024 !
Peterborough Driving School is a locally owned operation. Their Instructors have been teaching since 2003 . Kevin & Heather graduated 1st in class when taking the Driving Instructor program. They have taught in Peterborough, Cobourg, Port Hope, Oshawa and Lindsay areas. Kevin & Heather were born & raised in Peterborough, attending Thomas A Stewart Secodary & Kenner respectively. Kevin also graduated with a Honours Bachelors degree in Administrative Studies from Trent University. They are also certified Auto$mart Instructors through the Ministry of Natural Resources. Heather is a member of The Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists.
Part of the reason they became Instructors was always enjoying training people. Prior to becoming instructors they had obtained management positions in the retail sector working in the grocery, department store & restaurant sectors. Another reason is in December 2002 they were T-boned by a driver who failed to stop at a stop sign. Along with being instructors they share strong family & community values. They were proud to be involved with the School Council at Roger Neilson Public School (2013/14) where Kevin was the Treasurer. They enjoy spending as much time as possible with their 11 year old Tyler. Thanks to Peterborough Petes for having us for their Sponsor Appreciation Night March 16, 2015.

TY & KATY'S TIP FOR THE MONTH OF JULY
Keep your focus on the road eliminating all distractions. This means no cellphone use at all times & also no eating, searching for things etc. The fine for distracted driving increased as of January 1 2019. Violators now face a fine of $615, 3 demerit points & a 3 day licence suspension upon conviction for 1st offence. It can also lead to a careless or a dangerous driving charge especially if someone is hurt. It simply is not worth it especially if you factor in insurance increases & the unmeasureable cost of a human life.
